Sometimes, God will delay your plans just to align you with His.
It was the morning after the Equippers Shout Conference — a powerful few days of worship, word, and encounters with the Holy Spirit. We were supposed to check out of our accommodation at 10 a.m. with our youth group and head to Auckland Airport. But my husband wasn’t feeling well, so we asked the hotel for an extra hour — and they graciously allowed it.
What we didn’t realize at the time was that this delay was divine.
As we finally ordered an Uber, we were blessed to get a ride just the two of us (pictured) rather than being crammed in with the youth. As soon as we hopped in, I started chatting with our driver — just the usual small talk at first, asking about his day, where he was from, etc. He mentioned he was Hindu, and I told him about the Christian conference we had just attended.
That’s when something shifted.
He grew curious and began asking more questions — about Christians, about what we believed. He said he’d heard about Jesus before, but wanted to understand what made Christianity different.
I began to share the gospel — about Jesus, who died for our sins, rose again, and offers us eternal life. I told him about the love of God, and how He doesn’t want religion — He wants a relationship with us.
And then the moment came.
He looked at me and said, “How can I have what you’ve got?”
I smiled and told him it’s the most beautiful and simple thing. I shared how salvation is a free gift — it’s about inviting Jesus into your heart, asking Him to forgive your sins, and surrendering your life to Him as Lord and Saviour.
Right there in the Uber, he prayed.
He repeated the prayer out loud in Jesus’ name — a full surrender, a genuine yes to Christ.
I prayed over him, encouraged him, and told him, “If you died today, you would go straight to heaven. That’s the assurance you now have in Jesus.”
Before we left the car, I helped him download a Bible app and prayed in faith that God would send a Christian into his life — someone who would invite him to church and walk with him as he begins this new journey.
All glory to God!
What the enemy might have intended as a delay, God turned into a divine appointment.
Obedience truly is better than sacrifice, and nothing is impossible for Him.
Revival doesn’t just happen at the altar — it happens in Ubers, on sidewalks, in supermarkets, and in everyday conversations when we’re willing to share Jesus.
Let’s stay ready.
Let’s stay obedient.
Because He is always working.
To God be all the glory!

Known lovingly by many as Mama T, Teresa Biu Koliavu is a bold and faithful woman of God — a wife, mother, and proud grandmother based in Porirua, New Zealand. She walks in the calling of an evangelist, prophet, and teacher, carrying the gospel with power and love wherever she goes — from the streets to the supermarkets, and even in Uber rides!
Mama T’s life is a living testimony of obedience to the Holy Spirit. She is a modern-day Good Samaritan, always willing to stop, pray, and serve — no matter who it is or where they are. Whether she’s leading someone to Jesus in a conversation or offering practical help to someone in need, she gives her time and heart freely to see lives transformed.
Her recent testimony of leading a Hindu Uber driver to Christ is just one example of the many divine encounters that follow her wherever she goes. Mama T doesn’t wait for a stage — she carries revival in her everyday life.
We are so grateful for her fire, faith, and unwavering love for people. To know her is to be encouraged, challenged, and reminded that Jesus still saves — everywhere, every day.
