“Can I Pray for You?” — A Healing Night with a Womens League Team

Sometimes, you show up for a BBQ and end up witnessing the power of God break out right in the middle of a league team hangout.

Last night, I was invited to a BBQ and catch-up with the Tigers League team in Upper Hutt. When I arrived, they were still in the middle of team meetings, so I waited outside.

A few of the women’s team members were outside too, chatting about how many injuries their team had going into the next day’s game.

I walked over and simply asked, “What kind of injuries are we talking about?”

They looked at me a bit curious and asked if there was a reason I wanted to know. I told them straight up — “Because I can pray for them to be healed.”

That got their attention. And quickly they said "yes" — they were open to anything that might get their team ready for game day.

The first injury was a knee that wasn’t even expected to play — but as we prayed, God moved, and she was visibly emotional, even teary-eyed, as the pain lifted.

Then came a girl with a neck issue. I asked her to turn around so she couldn’t see what I was doing, and as I raised my hand (still about a metre away), the others told her my hand hadn’t even touched her. But she said she could feel heat — it was intense, especially considering it was only 3°C outside. The pain left. She was healed.

Another player asked for prayer for peace and unity in the team — not a physical injury, but a deep and needed healing all the same.

Then a woman with rib cage pain stepped up. I told her to come closer — the moment she did, she said she felt heat sweep through her body, and just like that, the pain was gone.

As this was happening, one of the guys came out from the club rooms. The girls mentioned he had gout in his ankle. I laid hands on him, and after praying, he said the pain had almost completely gone — just a little bit left. God was moving.

Then came the questions:
“Who are you?”
“How is this even happening?”

That’s when I knew it was time to share more. I began to speak prophetically — words of knowledge began to flow, confirming things in their lives that only God could know.

I told them about Jesus, about the power of the Holy Spirit, and how God loves them deeply and personally.

We ended the night in the most beautiful way — holding hands and praying together. Not one of them was a Christian. Not one of them belonged to a church.

But God met them. Right there. At a BBQ. In Upper Hutt.

I’ll never stop saying it: divine appointments are everywhere if we’re willing to show up and say, “Can I pray for you?”

All glory to God. It’s always a joy to bring the light into places that need it most.

Much love,

Meet Pisa Seala is a bold, Spirit-filled believer with a deep love for Jesus and an unshakable conviction that the supernatural life should be normal for every follower of Christ. He walks in a unique and powerful grace as both a seer prophet and an evangelist — a rare combination that allows him to both discern the spiritual realm with clarity and proclaim the gospel with fire.

Whether he’s ministering at a gathering or sharing a word in a carpark, Pisa carries the presence of God with humility and confidence. He doesn’t believe miracles are reserved for a few — he believes they’re part of the everyday life of the believer. His heart is to encourage and equip the Body of Christ to step out, speak up, and expect God to move.

The testimonies that follow Pisa’s obedience — from healing in league clubs to salvations on the street — aren’t about platform or spotlight. They’re about showing what’s possible when ordinary people trust an extraordinary God.

Pisa reminds us: We don’t need to be famous to be fruitful. We just need to be available.
